Stefanos Kouratzis (b. Athens, Greece) is an award winning visual storyteller, multidisciplinary photographer and writer based in (the Republic of) Cyprus.

​Over the years has collaborated with local and international media organizations including AFP, Reuters, Associated Press, Xinhua, France24, Arte (France) and BBC Radio. He has covered major stories in hostile zones such as the Lebanon War of 2006, the operation “Iraqi Freedom” (embedded on a USS aircraft carrier), Gaza Strip and the Bam City earthquake in Iran.

His artistic photographic works have been showcased in Cyprus and internationally at prestigious venues, including the “16th Venice Biennale of Architecture” as part of the Cyprus Pavilion, at “SPEL” – The State Gallery of Modern & Contemporary Cypriot Art in Nicosia (Cyprus), at Le Corbusier’s Unité d’habitation in Marseille (France), the Nicosia International Festival, and the National Austrian Library in Vienna.

His articles (on Photography and Journalism) have been published in Cyprus, Greece, USA, England and Poland.

​He is member of IFJ (International Federation of Journalists), the Union of Cyprus Journalists and the Performance Evaluation Committee of the THYMELI Scheme (EAP) under the Deputy Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus.
