Congolese Flee Rebel Attacks

Thousands of Congolese nationals are fleeing to Rwanda and Uganda escaping violence following resumption of clashes between DR Congo army and rebel groups, officials have confirmed. The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, “Forward” — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism. Παρότι ο προεκλογικός αγώνας πλησιάζει στο τέλος του, αποδεικνύεται δύσκολο να πει κανείς κάτι πραγματικά καινούργιο ή ενθαρρυντικό, καθώς οι (συνήθως ομιλητικότατοι) Έλληνες δείχνουν να είναι βαθιά βυθισμένοι, και όχι αδικαιολόγητα, στη θλίψη. Pensioners languish in poverty

A visit to some local savings banks where pensioners come to collect their monthly pension funds showed that many pensioners are languishing in poverty in Zimbabwe. Their lifetime savings were eroded by inflation. Most pensioners had sad stories to tell ranging from how they served their employers diligently yet they do not have anything to show for it. Στην Κένυα και στην Νιγηρία πραγματοποιηθήκαν επιθέσεις κατά χριστιανών

Στην πρωτεύουσα της Κένυας Ναϊρόμπι εγκληματίας ανατίναξε χειροβομβίδα μέσα σε εκκλησία πριν την Κυριακάτικη λειτουργία. Σκοτώθηκε μία γυναίκα, πάνω από 10 άτομα τραυματίστηκαν. Η τοπική αστυνομία πραγματοποιεί έρευνες για να βρει τον εγκληματία που κατάφερε να ξεφύγει. Επίσης σήμερα στην πόλη Κάνο της Νιγηρίας σημειώθηκε έκρηξη κοντά στο κτήριο του θεάτρου, όπου διεξαγόταν χριστιανική λειτουργία. Μέχρι τώρα δεν υπάρχουν πληροφορίες για νεκρούς και τραυματίες. Doctors save little girl despite prohibition from her father, a Jehovah’s Witness

In St. Petersburg, doctors obtained the right for a blood transfusion surgery for a 15-month-old girl, who had suffered in a car accident. The doctors received the right for the operation through court action. The girl’s father, a Jehovah’s Witness, had said that he would not let the doctors save his daughter’s life for religious reasons. The car accident took place on March 26 in St. Petersburg.
